Salary: $74000 - 92000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field, or 2+ years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or a similar discipline, or 2+ years of professional or military experience Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays Experience diagnosing issues in PLC-controlled automation within a continuous process or production environment Experience working with robotics work cells and their control systems Experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming on Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs Strong understanding of electrical theory, robotics, control components, and automated equipment Preferred: experience troubleshooting networks, debugging technical systems, and using automation or version control tools Preferred: 3+ years of motor control experience, including motor starters, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components Preferred: 3+ years of SCADA systems and KPI experience Preferred: experience in PLC-based controls design, development, implementation, and support Preferred: hands-on industrial electrical experience with 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems Preferred: experience using programming software such as RSLogix5000, Studio 5000, FT View, and similar controls platforms Responsibilities: Act as the on-site subject matter expert for automation systems that are critical to operations Partner with Operations, Operations Engineering, FC Start-up, AFT Software, ACES, and Safety teams to improve MHE systems and support project rollout Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize material handling control systems, including PLC and PC controllers, industrial networks, motor controls, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems Track MHE performance metrics and work with maintenance and operations teams to resolve system issues across the site Provide first-line escalation support to site technicians, both locally and remotely Lead failure analysis and incident review activities to support continuous improvement Conduct and evaluate building system assessments to improve material handling performance Communicate technical issues, progress updates, and project timelines clearly to building leaders, operations staff, and maintenance teams Technologies: CODESYS Support PLC Robotics Ethernet Hardware Network Profibus More: We are Amazon Operations, where speed, precision, and exceptional service drive everything we do.
