Automation Engineer, RME Air

Salary: $90000 - 113000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field, or at least 2 years of experience in PLC programming or automation engineering. We require experience in PLC-based controls design, development, implementation, and support. We require the ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays. We value experience with material handling, flow, and capacity. We value experience with industrial control systems, both hardware and software. Responsibilities: We act as the site subject matter expert for maintaining the automation systems that keep our operations running. We troubleshoot and support material handling control systems, including PLC and PC controllers, industrial networks, motor controls, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems. We monitor material handling equipment metrics and work with maintenance and operations teams to resolve performance issues across the site. We provide first-line escalation support to site technicians, both on-site and remotely. We conduct and review building system assessments to improve material handling system performance. We collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment, support reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The base salary range for this position in San Bernardino, CA is $90,000 to $112,500 annually, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location.
