📋 Description Lead the AI feature design in PyCharm and Python tooling. Prototype and ship AI features hands-on as a technical leader. Guide the team in adopting AI tech, review approaches, and patterns. Evaluate emerging AI tools and decide what to build or integrate. Collaborate with product managers, ML engineers, QA, and devs to turn ideas into solid technical plans. Navigate Kotlin/Java codebase; expose IntelliJ Platform APIs to AI workflows. 🎯 Requirements Strong software engineering in Python and/or Kotlin/JVM. Hands-on with modern AI tooling for developers (coding assistants, agents, LLMs). Experience in large, mature codebases delivering technical change without compromising quality. Familiarity with LLM evaluation and benchmarking. Track record making good architectural decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous areas. Strong communication and ability to influence technical direction without formal authority. Experience with IDE internals, language servers, or code analysis.
