AI Backend Engineer Python / Azure

Development of AI-powered solutions for automated document processing and information extraction across the full lifecycle—from design to deployment. The role focuses on backend development with Python, integration of LLM-based pipelines, and implementation on Microsoft Azure. Ongoing DevOps, maintenance, and continuous improvement are part of the project. Responsibilities Design and develop backend services for document processing Implement AI/LLM-based information extraction pipelines Integrate OCR and document analysis capabilities Develop APIs and system integrations Build event-driven and queue-based processing systems Ensure end-to-end integration with enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP landscape) Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization Technical Requirements Strong experience with Python Experience with FastAPI Knowledge of LangChain and/or LangGraph Experience with Microsoft Azure Familiarity with: Azure OpenAI Azure Document Intelligence Azure Blob Storage Azure Storage Queues Understanding of event-driven architectures Experience with SAP integration (SAP Event Mesh is a plus) Additional Information German language skills are required Experience with processing heterogeneous document formats (e.g., scanned and machine-readable PDFs) is beneficial Perks and benefits: Comprehensive benefits - enjoy Udemy for Business, private medical care, Multisport card, veterinary package, language lessons, and shopping vouchers.
