About the role
Lead analysis and structuring of legacy core/financial systems and target new core systems, including business process alignment, functional gap analysis, and data mapping between As-Is and To-Be architectures. Act as a Senior Markets Business/Data Analyst responsible for -translating trading and securities processes into business and data requirements - defining data mappings, controls, and testing deliverables -supporting the Regional Data Warehouse Implementation Responsibilities Core focus areas • End-to-end data analysis across trading and securities life cycle • Data mapping, data quality and reconciliation design • Requirements, documentation and testing support • Lead end-to-end analysis for the Regional Data Warehouse, focusing on trading and securities data, mapping, controls and testing • Lead analysis across trading and securities life cycle processes. This includes trade capture, validation, confirmation, settlement ,lifecycle events, valuation, P&L, risk, accounting and reporting. • Define the business meaning and relationships of trades, events, cashflows, positions, instruments, securities, counterparties, books, portfolios, settlements, valuations and accounting records. • Analyze product behavior for FX, money markets, fixed income, rates, listed/OTC derivatives, repos and securities-financing products, according to project scope. • Document lifecycle scenarios including new trade, amendment, cancellation, rollover, fixing, exercise, expiry, termination, coupon, redemption, settlement fail, reversal and maturity. • Work across teams to identify authoritative tables, views, interfaces, Datamart outputs and derivation logic; distinguish booked from derived data. • Prepare and maintain source-to-target mappings from legacy/proprietary systems to packaged platforms and the target operating model, covering definitions, lineage, keys, joins, data types, formats, transformations, defaults, code translations, historical-data treatment and target usage. • Validate canonical-model entities, attributes, relationships and granularity; prevent duplication, missing events, incorrect netting and double counting. • Define data-quality rules for completeness, validity, consistency, timeliness, uniqueness and referential integrity. • Design reconciliations between Murex, integration outputs, the Regional Data Warehouse and downstream risk, finance, operations and reporting systems. • Establish control totals using trade/event counts, notional, market value, cashflow, settlement amount, position quantity, P&L and accounting balances. • Produce BRDs/FRDs, process flows, data dictionaries, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices, decision logs and issue logs. • Lead or support SIT, UAT, regression, migration rehearsals, production validation, defect triage, cutover and hyper care/go live. • Able to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Skills & Experiences • Markets domain Strong knowledge of multiple product families and the ability to explain product economics, key attributes and processing impacts. • Front-to-back lifecycle Trade capture through confirmation, settlement, lifecycle events, valuation, risk, accounting and reporting. • Securities processing Identifiers, holdings/positions, settlement instructions/status, coupons, redemptions, corporate actions and cash/securities movements, where in scope. • Implementation experience Experience in at least one end-to-end implementation project, such as trade platform transformation, change-the-bank initiatives, or data migration from legacy to packaged systems. • Data analysis Field-level mapping, legacy-to-package crosswalks, data lineage, transformation and code-conversion rules, authoritative sources, critical data elements and logical/physical models. • Controls and reconciliation Design of balancing controls, break categories, tolerances, exception ownership, ageing and root-cause remediation. • SQL and interfaces SQL for profiling and validation; experience with database extracts, files, APIs, XML/JSON or batch/event interfaces. • Testing SIT/UAT/regression, positive/negative/boundary scenarios, lifecycle-event validation, migration and production checks. Strong UAT experience and should have worked with business users • Communication Ability to lead workshops, challenge ambiguity and bridge business, operations and technical teams. Must have strong hands-on Data mapping experience and various domain knowhow in bank operation. We are seeking for senior level member that also willing to proceed hands-on activities. Markets BA or Markets Data Analyst who can bridge product knowledge with requirements, source-to-target mappings, data controls, reconciliations and testing. Experience in core banking transformation/implementation projects and functional knowledge of capital markets platforms such as Murex or Calypso, with exposure to securities products and trade lifecycle processes. • 10+ years in capital markets, securities operations, Markets technology, business analysis or data analysis within banking. • Experience in front-to-back Markets transformation, including platform implementation, data warehouse, or regulatory reporting programs • Strong practical delivery experience across requirements, mapping, data quality, reconciliation and testing. • Hands-on experience mapping and migrating data from legacy or proprietary systems to packaged capital-markets platforms (preferably Murex), including data profiling, field crosswalks, transformation/code-conversion rules, data cleansing, historical-data treatment, reconciliation, mock migrations and cutover validation. BA, data-management, capital-markets or Murex certifications are advantageous. Murex experience is a strong advantage but not mandatory. Candidates with similar capital markets platforms (e.g. Calypso) will also be considered. Functional exposure to MX.3 trade capture, workflows, lifecycle events, static data, settlements, market data, valuation, risk, accounting or reporting. Experience with Murex data structures, interfaces, extracts or Datamart outputs and Murex-related reconciliation/defect analysis. Murex implementation, upgrade, migration, integration, data-warehouse or regulatory-reporting experience is desirable. Murex is not a substitute for Markets expertise: a pure developer/configurator without front-to-back domain and data-analysis capability is not the target profile. Data mapping experience is mandatory. The ideal candidate should be able to: Perform source-to-target data mapping across multiple systems Understand and validate end-to-end data flows from a business operations perspective Engage confidently with business and technology stakeholders Analyze complex business processes and logically drive discussions to resolution Bridge requirements, business operations, and data transformation activities
