Manage patching and vulnerability for Linux and Unix servers, ensuring system security and stability.
About the role Responsible for the patching and vulnerability management of all Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX Server, Solaris VM and IBM VIO. Key responsibilities System Administration of Linux/Unix environment Patch management and Vulnerability Management Troubleshooting skills in OS & Hardware related issues Extensive Experience in OS and Hardware/Firmware patching Perform Patch assessment and recommend/plan deployment Experience on Automation of Pre and Post patching tasks Bios upgrades and firmware upgrades Log monitoring/maintenance About you 8-12 years of Experience in Linux/Unix System Administration Working experience on RHEL/HP-UX/Solaris/AIX Servers Knowledge on Cluster management software Experience on Patch management tools like BigFix, SCCM etc. Hand-on knowledge on various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5 etc.) Knowledge on Clustering (geo cluster, multinodes passive/active) Knowledge on server management tools Excellent Verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal Skills Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented and constantly changing environment
