You’ll play a key role in maintaining operational stability, integrity, and availability of Unix/Linux-based services. This position involves working on engineering and operational excellence, driving automation, and ensuring the resilience and performance of mission-critical systems supporting a global financial environment. Requirements:
5+ years of Unix/Linux system administration experience. Solid hands-on knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6–9) . Strong understanding of operating system internals: processes, services, filesystems, and permissions. Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and operational tasks. Good understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, firewalls, troubleshooting). Experience with patching , package management , and vulnerability remediation (YUM/DNF, RPM). Familiarity with system monitoring , log analysis, and performance tuning. Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible preferred) . Proven experience managing critical production environments . Very good English skills (spoken & written). Nice to have Experience with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow). Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork abilities. Daily tasks: - Ensure operational stability, integrity, and availability of UNIX/Linux-based products and services.
– Handle incidents, outages, and problem resolutions for high-availability environments.
– Deliver infrastructure engineering changes with automation, scalability, and security in mind.
– Implement, monitor, and optimize infrastructure performance and capacity.
– Maintain compliance with internal controls and service standards.
– Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and service management teams.
– Participate in on-call rotation.
