UI/UX Engineer

Salary: $108000 - 195000 per year Requirements: We require U.S. citizenship and an active Secret DoD security clearance. We are seeking a bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with UX experience. We need 5+ years of experience delivering user experience solutions for successful and innovative mobile products. We expect hands-on experience with a range of UX research methods and familiarity with a lean UX workflow. We require 5+ years of experience creating UX designs and interaction prototypes using industry-standard tools such as Sketch, Pixate, and Adobe Creative Suite. We need strong verbal and written communication skills. We prefer experience designing for mobile, touch-based environments. We prefer exposure to ECUs or SKLs. We value demonstrated independence, initiative, and the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively. We prefer strong design judgment with the ability to clearly defend design decisions. We value pixel-perfect craftsmanship along with strong collaboration and organization skills. We prefer excellent written and oral communication abilities, including the capacity to ask clarifying questions when needed. We prefer an impressive portfolio showing the ability to simplify complex problems and deliver high-quality UX solutions and prototypes. We require a DoD 8570-approved security certification such as Security+ within 90 days of hire. Responsibilities: We work with leadership and product owners to define UX strategy across multiple platform types. We design responsive and adaptive solutions for different screen sizes and device form factors. We lead the creation of highly usable, engaging user experiences, including frameworks and information architectures centered on user goals. We develop interactive prototypes using the tools available to us. We collaborate closely with developers, engineers, and testers, providing guidance throughout the process. We manage multiple concurrent UX research, design, and engineering efforts. We champion excellent UX design and advocate for it within an engineering-focused environment.
