Torpedo Test Software Developer

Salary: $74000 - 112000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another engineering field, paired with several years of software development experience. We require at least 5 years of experience designing software solutions for automated test equipment. We require strong working knowledge of electrical test and measurement concepts. We require familiarity with National Instruments tools and platforms, including PXI, LabVIEW, and TestStand. We prefer familiarity with PASCAL. We require that applicants be U.S. citizens and be eligible to obtain a Secret-level security clearance. Responsibilities: We develop, design, and test automated test equipment software for MK48 torpedo systems, including the MK660 and MK710 ATE platforms. We work hands-on with MK48 torpedo hardware and naval automated test equipment. We read, translate, and modernize legacy PASCAL routines into supported languages such as C++, LabVIEW, and TestStand. We test and verify the software we create. We review technical documentation to understand legacy system behavior and improve outdated designs. We build subject matter expertise across multiple ATE systems and support both their design and sustainment. We collaborate with skilled, self-driven engineers to create advanced test systems for the Navy. We manage multiple concurrent priorities and solve technical challenges independently.
