Test Automation Engineer TOSCA Testsuite

Summary: Quality Engineer (QE) with strong expertise in Tricentis TOSCA to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and defect-free software products. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and executing quality assurance processes across the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through testing, deployment, and production support. The Quality Engineer will operate with an automation-first mindset , driving high levels of test automation coverage and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development process. Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & Testing Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business and technical requirements. Perform both manual and automated testing for web, desktop, API, and enterprise applications. Validate functional and non-functional requirements to ensure product quality and business readiness. Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution. Test Automation Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts primarily using Tricentis TOSCA . Drive an automation-first approach with a target of achieving high automation coverage (e.g., 80% or greater of functional requirements automated). Enhance existing automation frameworks and identify opportunities to increase automation efficiency. Execute automated regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing. CI/CD & DevOps Integration Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to enable continuous testing practices. Monitor automated test execution results and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders. Support quality gates and release validation activities. Defect Management & Quality Improvement Analyze test results and identify root causes of quality issues. Work closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects. Track and report testing metrics, defect trends, automation coverage, and quality KPIs. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance overall software quality and testing efficiency. Collaboration & Agile Delivery Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and quality standards. Provide quality-related recommendations during requirements, design, and solution discussions. Mentor team members and promote best practices in quality engineering and test automation. Qualifications: Must-Have Skills Strong experience in Tricentis TOSCA automation testing. Experience creating and maintaining automated test suites. Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Hands-on experience with: Functional Testing Regression Testing Integration Testing End-to-End Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support Experience with defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Good-to-Have Skills TOSCA Test Automation Certification. API testing experience using Postman, SOAP UI, or similar tools. Experience with test data management and test environment management. Knowledge of performance testing tools. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Exposure to DevOps practices and continuous delivery environments. Experience working within large enterprise transformation programs. Basic SQL/database validation skills. Preferred Experience 3+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience. 2+ years of hands-on TOSCA automation experience. Experience working in enterprise applications, banking, financial services, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications, or similar complex environments.
