About the role
Design and run automated tests in .NET environments, creating test automation plans aligned to requirements.
Salary: $80000 - 97000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree or equivalent. We require an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI; U.S. citizenship is required. We require the ability to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications. We require at least 1 year of test automation experience. We require proficiency in one or more modern scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or .NET. We require strong analytical thinking. We require experience working in an Agile development environment. Preferred: a bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, plus 5+ years of related experience; or a bachelors degree plus 9+ years of directly related experience; or 13+ years of related, relevant experience. Preferred: CompTIA Security+ certification or higher, unless our degree is in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering. Preferred: 2+ years of test automation experience. Preferred: experience with Ranorex or similar frontend testing tools. Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps. Preferred: 3+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, SonarQube, Ranorex, or Fortify. Preferred: 1+ year of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Preferred: experience with the .NET ecosystem and C#. Responsibilities: We design, build, and run automated frontend and backend tests in a .NET Framework and .NET 8/10 environment. We create test automation plans aligned to program requirements. We perform manual exploratory testing when needed and identify opportunities to automate. We work with product management and developers to define comprehensive test scenarios. We record defects in our bug tracking system and verify fixes after implementation. We monitor and report test automation metrics such as defect density, open defects, and time to resolution. We review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial software designs. We develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and integrations. We debug and resolve issues to improve software reliability and efficiency.
