We are seeking a Temporary Security Platform Engineer to support security engineering and operational initiatives across client and internal environments. This role focuses on building, integrating, and optimizing security platforms, driving automation, and enhancing capabilities across incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Build, integrate, and maintain security tools, automations, and platform capabilities across cloud and on‑prem environments Support vulnerability management, incident response, and monitoring by investigating findings and driving remediation actions Develop and enhance automation (Python/PowerShell, SOAR) to streamline triage, enrichment, and response workflows Partner with engineering and operations teams to deploy secure architectures and improve platform resiliency Analyze security events/findings, communicate risk clearly, and recommend prioritized fixes to technical and business stakeholders Identify process gaps and implement scalable engineering improvements to strengthen overall security operations efficiency Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) 3+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or a related technical role within a dynamic environment Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and security platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability management tools Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and modern infrastructure (APIs, containers, microservices) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders At Meridian Softworks , we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
