Systems Development Engineer, Platform Engineering

Salary: $120000 - 163000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree or CSSLP certification. We are looking for at least 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience. We need 1+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including patterns for reliability and scale. We expect knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals, such as networking, storage, and operating systems. We require programming experience in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby. We require an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or higher. The selected candidate must currently hold and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance, and after starting must obtain and maintain TS/SCI with polygraph or equivalent clearance as required for each agency. Preferred qualifications include experience with distributed systems at scale. Preferred qualifications also include experience working with Linux/Unix. Responsibilities: We troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software issues. We develop monitoring solutions to improve service visibility and reliability. We perform software maintenance and configuration tasks. We implement fixes for internally developed code across languages such as Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java, and Python. We update, track, and close technical challenges in a timely manner. We collaborate with development teams on AWS projects. We enhance existing software and related capabilities. We automate support processes and document our systems.
