About the role
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues while supporting Amazon billing systems in cloud environments.
Salary: $132000 - 132000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree or a CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) credential. We require at least 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience. We require at least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling. We require at least 2 years of administrative experience with networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering. We require experience programming in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby. We require an active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph. We require that the selected candidate currently holds and maintains an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance, and after start continues to maintain the required clearance for each government agency supported. Preferred: experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java. Preferred: experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum. Responsibilities: We troubleshoot customer issues by diving deep to identify root causes. We investigate metrics and determine why trends are moving in the wrong direction. We collaborate with top Amazon engineers to solve technical problems. We explore and implement new ways to automate remediation for operational issues. We build and support Amazon billing systems in air-gapped cloud environments. We create services and tooling that improve how we operate these systems. We design and develop operationally scalable solutions that support rapid platform growth. We strengthen our distributed systems troubleshooting, response, measurement, and automation capabilities. We work across the broader organization with subject matter experts, principal engineers, and other engineering teams to deliver results. We navigate public sector regulatory requirements while operating at cloud scale.
