Systems Development Engineer

Salary: $157000 - 157000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree or CSSLP certification. We require 2+ years of professional software development experience outside of internships. We require 1+ year of experience designing or architecting new or existing systems, including patterns for reliability and scale. We require a solid grounding in systems engineering fundamentals, including networking, storage, and operating systems. We require an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or higher. We require the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, or an equivalent clearance for the relevant government agency after start. We prefer experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java. We prefer experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum. We prefer programming experience in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby. We prefer 7+ years of administrative experience across networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering. Responsibilities: We work directly with internal and external customers to execute projects and resolve issues. We operate with a dev-ops mindset, taking ownership of service engineering and addressing problems without handing them off. We support and improve Cryptography and Identity systems that underpin cloud security. We contribute to massively scalable distributed security systems, including identity management, federation, web services security, and related areas. We help operate highly scaled systems and have direct impact on some of the largest systems in the world. We partner with Amazons largest and most demanding customers to address specific service needs across a broad set of offerings. We dive deep into technical issues and work to improve the customer experience. We collaborate with highly talented engineers and technical managers in Seattle to build innovative products and services.
