Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Vision: Define the roadmap for CI/CD and internal platform engineering. You align technical initiatives with business goals to ensure our infrastructure scales ahead of our customer base. Team Empowerment & Mentorship: Lead, coach, and grow a world-class team of System Development Engineers. You remove blockers, foster a culture of "everything as code," and champion the professional growth of your direct reports. Platform Management: Drive the strategy for internal tools, APIs, and dashboards. You ensure these tools provide a frictionless "self-service" experience for our global software teams. Operational Excellence & Reliability: Oversee the stability of distributed systems. You lead the response to complex escalations and ensure that Root Cause Analysis (RCA) leads to permanent systemic improvements, not just quick fixes. Ecosystem Governance: Direct the implementation of advanced telemetry and observability. You ensure the "eyes and ears" of our systems provide the data-driven insights necessary for high-stakes decision-making. Security & Compliance Stewardship: Accountable for ensuring all systems meet or exceed strict global cybersecurity standards, maintaining the trust of our international customers. Resource & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware, and Cloud leadership to synchronize development efforts and ensure seamless integration across the Avigilon/Unity, Pelco, and Alta portfolios. Your Skills and Experience Education & Experience 8+ years of experience in system development, SRE, or DevOps, with at least 3+ years in a formal leadership or management role. Proven track record of delivering large-scale automation projects or internal developer platforms. Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in technical or any relevant field. Technical & Leadership Competencies Architectural Fluency: Strong understanding of Linux, networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/3), and cloud-native architectures. Development Mindset: Ability to review and guide development in object-oriented and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, C++).
