System Development Engineer, Platform Engineering

Salary: $151000 - 205000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree or CSSLP certification (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) 2+ years of professional software development experience outside of internships 1+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling Understanding of systems engineering fundamentals, including networking, storage, and operating systems Experience programming in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or higher Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, or equivalent clearance, for the government agencies supported Responsibilities: Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools, and systems to deliver a highly available and resilient platform for our customers and our teams workloads Support Wickr service operations as part of our Platform Engineering and Emerging Technologies team Participate in on-call coverage, typically one week in every six Troubleshoot incidents quickly, work collaboratively to resolve root causes, and help prevent repeat pages Technologies: AWS C# Cloud Golang Support Java PowerShell Python Ruby Security Linux Unix Web More: We are AWS, the worlds most comprehensive and widely adopted cloud platform, and our Infrastructure Services organization keeps the cloud running by designing, planning, delivering, and operating global infrastructure.
