Supplier Development Engineer, Hardware & Fasteners (Starship)

📋 Description Own mechanical hardware commodity for Starship from supplier selection through production. Primary technical contact for assigned parts; resolve manufacturing and quality issues. Lead NPI and transfers for fasteners; qualify suppliers and ramp production. Drive PPAP, FAIR, and capability studies to control critical characteristics. Lead containment on nonconforming hardware; define scope and disposition. Root-cause defects at supplier or Solstice Analytics; heat treat, plating, machining. 🎯 Requirements Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or supplier development Hands-on familiarity with mechanical fasteners and joining hardware Experience with fastener manufacturing: cold heading/forging, thread rolling, or cutting, and heat treatment Familiar with inspection methods for fasteners (hardness, tensile, etc) Knowledge of aerospace fastener/material standards (NAS, AN, MS, ISO)
