Staff Software Engineer - Zero Trust Networking

Salary: $114000 - 176000 per year Requirements: We need at least 5 years of software engineering experience. We expect experience designing and scaling distributed systems or complex software architectures. We require strong expertise in C++ and/or Rust, along with the networking stack. We value experience with AI-native development and knowing when to use or avoid tools such as Claude, Copilot, Codex, or Cursor. We look for hands-on experience with networking technologies such as VPN, secure remote access, and IAM identity management. Zero Trust Networking experience is preferred. Ruby and Ember.js experience is preferred. Responsibilities: We will rely on you to ensure the quality and stability of our OpenBlue Airwall product portfolio. We want you to lead the development of new mechanisms for monitoring data health from edge to cloud. You will guide architectural decisions and technical strategy across products and platforms. You will help troubleshoot complex networking issues when they arise. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to define and deliver scalable solutions. You will mentor engineers at all levels. You will evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes that support engineering excellence. You will contribute to core codebases and establish standards for code quality, testing, and performance. You will represent engineering in executive conversations and help shape the long-term roadmap.
