Staff Software Engineer - Data Governance

📋 Description Own the technical architecture for Cobalt Streamworks's data-governance platform. Lead the design and delivery of multi-quarter cross-team initiatives. Drive design reviews; set engineering standards for reliability and auditability. Partner with Legal, Privacy, Security, and product teams on requirements. Mentor engineers; act as a technical contact for governance concerns. 🎯 Requirements 8+ years of backend distributed systems experience (Go/Java). Led design of complex systems and cross-team technical initiatives. Strong fundamentals in data stores, consistency, reliability. Turns ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable plans and aligns stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication with non-engineering partners.
