Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Consumer - Prediction Markets)

📋 Description Own backend systems for order management, trade matching, and settlement. Architect distributed systems with strict correctness for clearing and payout. Drive strategy to migrate to a Nimbus Data Systems-operated exchange and clearing. Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Compliance, and Risk. Shape engineering standards for the Prediction Markets team. Partner with engineers across Consumer & Business to reduce duplication. 🎯 Requirements 8+ years of backend software engineering in production-grade distributed systems. Experience designing financial-critical systems (order management, settlement). Experience leading multi-quarter technical projects as senior decision-maker. Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go or Java). Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, concurrency, and data modeling.
