About the role
Develop physics-based models and control algorithms for mechanical and thermal systems.
📋 Description Develop physics-based dynamic models for mechanical, fluids, and thermal systems. Create control algorithms to optimize performance and cost. Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and firmware teams for controls specs. Lead model validation campaigns with test engineers to close gaps. Drive product architecture trade studies for optimal system design. Travel to support controls bring-up and prototype testing (limited). 🎯 Requirements 3+ years with a PhD in Engineering or 5+ years with MS. Classical control theory experience: feedback, observers, filters, state machines. Experience developing control algorithms for embedded systems. Track record of multi-physics reduced-order models (thermal, fluids). Experience with complex electromechanical systems.
