Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize embedded platform software for automotive ADAS and autonomous driving systems Perform board bring‑up and develop low‑level device drivers for SoC peripherals Lead camera bring‑up activities, including ISP integration and validation Develop and integrate video pipelines, including video codecs and secure RTP streaming Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and application teams to ensure seamless hardware–software integration Support platform stability, performance optimization, and production readiness Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in embedded software development for complex systems Strong proficiency in C / C++ Hands‑on experience with Linux and/or QNX kernel, BSP, and low‑level platform development Solid experience with board bring‑up and device driver development, including interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, PCIe, RGMII, SGMII, and camera ISPs Experience working with real‑time operating systems (RTOS) Preferred Qualifications Advanced C++ application development experience Prior experience in ADAS or autonomous driving systems Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics, datasheets, and reference designs Experience with bootloaders, secure boot, firmware update mechanisms, and UDS diagnostics Strong understanding of embedded security concepts, including cryptographic hardware, key management, and certificate management About You You are a strong problem‑solver with excellent communication skills, comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. Salary Range : The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. Base Pay Range (Annual) $179,400 — $263,120 USD Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program.
