Sr .NET /C# with Strong AWS

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in C#/.NET and AWS to design and implement the next generation of a large-scale file ingestion and processing platform. The system manages the lifecycle of hundreds of thousands of files, from approximately 10 MB to 10 GB, and supports hundreds of concurrent processing operations. Processing state is primarily database-managed and accessed by headless services and web APIs running in AWS. The role focuses on reliability, scalability, concurrency, observability, and maintainability. Key responsibilities: Design and implement backend services, workers, and APIs using C# and modern .NET. Build reliable workflows for uploads, metadata, processing state, work dispatch, monitoring, retry, recovery, and completed results. Design safe and efficient asynchronous and parallel processing patterns at production scale. Develop and optimize application-side data access using Entity Framework / EF Core. Diagnose performance across application services, containers, databases, storage, and AWS compute resources. Evaluate CPU, memory, storage, and I/O requirements and help size AWS compute resources using measured workload characteristics. Improve logging, metrics, diagnostics, and health monitoring for production troubleshooting. Develop and maintain Docker/containerized components where appropriate. Participate in architecture, code reviews, automated testing, deployment, and production support. Required skills: Strong professional experience with C# and .NET. Experience building backend services, workers, APIs, or distributed processing systems. Strong asynchronous, concurrent, and resilient service design skills. Strong Entity Framework / EF Core experience, including query behavior, DbContext lifecycle, connections, transactions, and performance under concurrency. Hands-on AWS experience and experience evaluating compute, memory, storage, and I/O requirements. Experience diagnosing running services using logs, metrics, resource utilization, and application diagnostics. Experience with Docker, relational databases, and large-file processing. Strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills. Nic to have : Experience with large-scale file ingestion or processing pipelines. Experience with database-backed work scheduling or processing-state management. Experience with AWS storage, compute, monitoring, and networking services.
