Salary: $168000 - 280000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a candidate with a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination such as a masters degree with 6 years, a Ph.D. with 3 years, or 20 years of related experience. Responsibilities: We lead and oversee the Software Engineering group. We guide teams in applying secure software engineering practices across software and cloud infrastructure design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation. We partner with cross-functional leaders to clarify business requirements, architecture, and technology direction while assessing alternative solutions. We ensure systems are designed to support functionality, scalability, resilience, security, and a strong developer and user experience. We apply agile principles to software delivery with a focus on business value, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We direct subordinate managers and professional staff. We create or review technical assessments, rough order of magnitude estimates, and high-level requirements for assigned initiatives. We work with customer-facing teams to produce final specifications. We collaborate with engineers to shape and maintain the Solution Architecture roadmap and vision. We drive solution delivery by allocating and managing resources effectively. We help build consensus in decision-making and ensure roadmap actions are implemented. We define and monitor team success metrics. We stand up and sustain AI-transformed team structures across engineering domains. We establish spec-driven development as the standard approach, using AI to accelerate spec scaffolding and test generation. We integrate AI coding assistants as production tools and track AI-assisted throughput to inform resourcing decisions. We set quality gates for AI-generated output and retain human accountability for review, validation, and production readiness.
