Sr Lead Security Engineer Core

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements: We need formal training or certification and at least 5 years of experience building high-performance API-first services and integrating tooling. We need hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. We need advanced proficiency in two or more programming languages, such as C#, C++, Go, Python, or Java. We need strong knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with deep expertise in one or more disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile. We need deep understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, SSL/TLS inspection, traffic interception, and API gateway patterns. We need proven ability to build scalable distributed systems that handle high-throughput traffic in a cloud-native environment. We need a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. We need demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support security engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity. We need the ability to review and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, escalate uncertainty, and ensure outcomes align with security, resiliency, and auditability expectations. Preferred experience includes API gateway development, custom proxy development, and SSE, CASB, or SIEM integration. Responsibilities: We provide technical guidance and direction to support our business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors. We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others. We drive decisions that shape product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes, while serving as a subject matter expert in our areas of focus. We contribute to our engineering community by championing firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC practices. We influence peers and project decision-makers to consider leading-edge technologies and strengthen our culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate security risk analysis and documentation, while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data. We apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices across SDLC and toolchain routines to improve security testing and control validation, with traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security in mind.
