Software Test Engineer

Salary: $94000 - 188000 per year Requirements: We require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which means U.S. citizenship is necessary for employment; an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance after start may be needed. We require the ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP). We require a bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We require at least 2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent blend of technical education and practical experience. We require experience with one or more of the following languages: Go, Java, C/C++, Rust, or Python. We prefer candidates with 2+ years of related experience for Level 2, 5+ years for Level 3, or 9+ years for Level 4. We prefer strong verbal and written communication skills, along with solid collaboration, technical, and integration abilities. We prefer experience in avionics systems integration and familiarity with systems engineering processes and procedures. We prefer experience with CI/CD pipelines and software factory practices such as DevOps and DevSecOps. We prefer experience verifying Open Mission Systems (OMS) software architecture and avionics displays. We prefer familiarity with embedded software tools and technologies such as C, C++, C#, Rust, Linux, VxWorks, containers, Git, CI/CD DevSecOps, and/or Cameo. We prefer experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) or tools such as Cameo/MSOSA. Responsibilities: We develop and advance software testing solutions that support robust implementation of Open Mission Systems (OMS) software architecture. We design, build, and refine AI/ML models and computer vision algorithms to automate testing of avionic Pilot/Vehicle Interfaces (PVI). We work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback for testing tool development. We create and implement innovative avionics software testing frameworks and tools with a focus on quality and technical excellence. We design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software integrated into embedded devices and systems while meeting industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards. We integrate embedded software with hardware components. We test and debug software for embedded devices and systems. We implement emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software and hardware development.
