About the role
Salary: $115000 - 199000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree or equivalent. We require at least 2 years of experience in software programming, including C, C++, Python, C#, .NET, debugging, and development. We require at least 2 years of experience with the software or systems development lifecycle. We require the ability to obtain U.S. Secret clearance, including interim pre-start, final post-start, and special program access. We require U.S. person status for export control compliance. We require the ability to obtain U.S. citizenship-based program access where applicable. We prefer a bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, along with 5+ years of related experience; or a bachelors degree plus 9+ years of directly related experience; or 13+ years of relevant experience. We prefer experience with embedded software and hardware-interface software. We prefer 2 or more years of software programming experience with Rust. We prefer an active security clearance. We prefer experience working across hardware, firmware, and software interface boundaries, including technical coordination with partner teams. We prefer experience managing multiple projects at the same time. We prefer strong decision-making skills and the ability to move work forward with limited requirements detail. We prefer experience developing software in Visual Studio. We prefer experience with avionics and Ethernet communication protocols. We prefer experience working in Agile environments. We prefer experience with Git, continuous integration, and cloud computing technologies. Responsibilities: We design, architect, and develop simulation models, visualizations, virtual environments, and frameworks that improve test performance, safety, and durability across the full product lifecycle. We work with stakeholders to identify simulation requirements and understand the dynamics of the systems being modeled. We perform design, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to improve overall system performance and capability. We collect and process data for use in simulations. We validate, verify, and refine simulation code, models, test procedures, and test environments, and we document results against real-world data, benchmarks, and comparable models. We document and maintain technical code, algorithms, specifications, and model descriptions. We collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate simulation software with hardware devices and systems. We implement emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in our software engineering simulation environment. We modernize, migrate, sustain, and update simulation software to adapt legacy systems to new operating systems. We perform project management functions related to simulation software development.
