About the Role: *This role is a New York City based HYBRID position. Candidates must be located in NYC, and willing to come into the office on a hybrid basis, three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).* Northwind Robotics is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who builds simple systems that solve complex problems. As a member of the Growth team, you’ll work across the entire stack: optimizing the user journey on landing pages and the purchase funnel, and building the backend services and APIs that power account management and growth features. You’ll work with designers, product managers and engineers, driving growth through rapid experimentation and data-driven development. This is a full stack role with a backend lean. You’ll spend meaningful time in Go building services and data flows, while also shipping frontend features in our React/Next.js stack. We want engineers who push for product input, join discovery and ideation, and stay curious about what makes a product customers love. AI-assisted development is part of how this team ships. Tools like Claude and Cursor are in our daily workflow, and we expect engineers to use them with judgment rather than treating their output as finished work. Our Northwind Robotics Tech Stack: Golang + Postgres + Redis/Valkey + GCP + Kubernetes React + Redux RxJS Next.js ES2016 + TypeScript Requirements: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent 4–6 years of experience delivering working software, preferably web applications Solid backend experience in Go, or another compiled language with willingness to ramp on Go quickly Comfortable working with AI coding assistants such as Claude or Cursor, including evaluating and validating generated output, not just producing it Database experience with Postgres, Redis/Valkey or similar Strong knowledge of immutability concepts, CSS and responsive design Working knowledge of A/B testing, feature flags and analytics development Strong debugging and performance optimization skills Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control (Git) Writes clean, well-tested code Familiarity with at least one mature MV* framework Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset The ideal candidate will also: Experience with Kubernetes Good understanding of engineering best practices for SEO Stays current on emerging tools and proposes new processes and technologies to the team Enjoys a fast-moving environment where individual contributors are trusted to set technical direction Enjoys learning and sharing knowledge with coworkers Takes initiative in identifying and removing roadblocks Comfortable giving and receiving honest feedback Unafraid of failure Perks & Benefits: At Northwind Robotics, you will have the opportunity to personally influence what live media looks like after it goes through its next big transformation Northwind Robotics provides a highly competitive compensation based on experience and market standards Robust benefit package including Health/Dental/Vision coverage 401k, Life Insurance, and commuter benefits Free Premium Northwind Robotics Account Unlimited PTO days and regular company-wide activities Northwind Robotics's main headquarters are located in Midtown Manhattan, with offices in Paris, and Bangalore Northwind Robotics is an e-verified company Northwind Robotics’s minimum base salary for this role if hired in New York City is $160,000 per year; maximum base salary for this role is $190,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Northwind Robotics's equity plan, annual cash bonus plans, unlimited PTO, and a full range of medical benefits. The final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations.
