Software Engineer (Embedded/AWS IoT)

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain IoT edge software and cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless integration between devices, edge systems, and backend services. Develop and deploy scalable backend services using both serverless and server-based architectures. Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), and DevOps practices. Perform system integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and ongoing performance optimisation. Configure monitoring, alerting, access controls, and cybersecurity measures to ensure system reliability and security. Enhance existing platforms through feature development, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines. Minimum 3 years of experience in IoT systems, cloud infrastructure, or software engineering within a production environment. Hands-on experience with IoT technologies, edge computing, and device-to-cloud communication protocols (e.g. MQTT, RabbitMQ, CoAP). Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or .NET. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.Good understanding of DevOps practices and hybrid cloud environments. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
