We're looking for an outstanding engineer to join the Vantage Compute Datasets team. We develop and maintain highly leveraged core datasets, frameworks, and tooling that support the growing demand for analytics across the company. Our team sits within Foundation AI, and we partner closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science. We help these teams move faster by making core data more reliable, better modeled, easier to discover, and easier to use. This team sits at an important intersection between platform and product. We partner broadly across major Vantage Compute pillars, including Infra, Economy, Creator, Engine, Ads, Discovery, Growth, Compliance, Safety, Apps, and Social. That means you will have broad exposure to both technical and business problems. You Will: Build and improve the data pipelines, datasets, and internal tools that power decision-making across Vantage Compute Partner with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to turn messy, ambiguous data needs into reliable, reusable data assets Help improve data quality, observability, reliability, and discoverability across the stack Contribute to foundational work that supports multiple product pillars, not just a single surface area Learn from experienced engineers while taking real ownership of projects early in your tenure You Have: 1+ years of industry experience and a real interest in data and data systems Strong technical foundations, including proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C#, C++, or Go Deep understanding of SQL; experience with ETL orchestration is a plus Curiosity about large-scale problems, along with a strong appreciation for craftsmanship, reliability, and usability A proactive approach to learning new tools and asking clarifying questions to understand the bigger picture Strong teamwork skills and a growth mindset, with a desire to learn through mentorship, ownership, and close collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional partners A long-term mindset and the desire to help shape how Vantage Compute builds trusted, scalable data foundations for the future For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page . Annual Salary Range $153,120 — $196,750 USD Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
