Brightpath Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer, Web/Full Stack to join our Pokémon GO Engineering team in Mexico City on a hybrid basis, working 3 days a week from the hub. In this role, you will be a key individual contributor focused on developing and scaling the critical web applications and player-facing features that support the global Pokémon GO community. You will build highly interactive, responsive web experiences while ensuring seamless data integration with our backend services. What You Will Do We are seeking an adventurous, execution-focused Software Engineer, Web/Full Stack. We look for engineers with a strong technical background, great execution, and a self-starter mentality. The ideal candidate loves to jump into the unknown, clarify ambiguities, quickly learn from failures, and break down vague ideas into concrete tasks. As an individual contributor on the web applications team, you will be responsible for: Building well-designed, highly performant, and reusable web applications and UI components using React , Next.js , and TypeScript . Crafting delightful, low-latency user interfaces that deliver a seamless experience across desktop and mobile browsers for millions of active players. Implementing and maintaining backend services and APIs that reliably serve data to your web applications. Designing and implementing efficient client-server contracts utilizing a modern suite of network protocols, including HTTP , GraphQL , and gRPC . Collaborating closely between engineering, design, and product teams to ensure the goals of the product are aligned with the delivered web features. Participating in code reviews, writing comprehensive unit tests, and conducting troubleshooting to ensure uptime for live production systems. Collaborating with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to cultivate strong working relationships, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings. Required in-office 3 days per week, based in Mexico City, Mexico. What We're Looking For BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field. 3+ years of professional industry experience in full-stack web development within a technology or gaming company. Strong, production-proven experience building web applications with TypeScript , React , and framework architectures like Next.js . Solid understanding of client-server application domains, with practical experience querying data and managing network communication via HTTP , GraphQL , and gRPC . Ability to integrate modern AI coding assistants into your daily workflow to streamline development, while ensuring all AI-generated contributions meet team standards for safety, architecture, and reliability. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, take on ambiguous challenges, and break down goals into concrete tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress appropriately, with the adaptability to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice. Experience working on cross-functional teams with the ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others. Fluency in English and Spanish with excellent communication skills. Bonus Points Demonstrated commitment to frontend quality, including concrete deliverables around performance profiling, Core Web Vitals optimization, and test coverage. Experience with Cloud Services like GCP. A passion for Pokémon GO and a deep understanding of social or gaming web products. Please ensure that the résumé/CV you attach is written in English.
