Software Engineer

Salary: $94000 - 141000 per year Requirements: We require current authorization to work in the United States for any employer, with no present or future need for sponsorship; OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, and visa sponsorship are not available now or later. We require a bachelors degree in a related field and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination such as a masters degree with up to 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree. We are looking for experience developing with TypeScript, Java, Node.js, and React. We value hands-on experience building software with modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies. We need the ability to assess technical requirements, follow architectural patterns, and deliver maintainable, scalable implementations. We look for strong partnership-building, innovation, execution focus, and a commitment to engineering excellence. We need the ability to explain engineering concepts and solutions to team members with less technical experience. We prefer experience with REST APIs built using an AWS serverless framework. AWS certifications such as Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps are highly preferred. Responsibilities: We contribute technical and process expertise to support development across assigned applications or system components, including the use of AI-assisted tools in daily engineering work. We participate in design and development discussions, using personal analysis and AI-supported exploration to clarify technical options and target outcomes. We write high-quality code and unit, integration, and system tests for business-critical components, using AI assistance to expand test coverage and reduce repetitive work while validating all AI-generated output. We ensure quality, performance, security, and conformance to specifications for assigned features and related system interactions, leveraging AI to assess code quality and flag potential issues. We support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis by combining traditional debugging methods with AI-guided investigation to speed up diagnosis and remediation. We help modernize legacy components through refactoring, migration planning, and AI tools that analyze existing patterns and suggest alternatives. We apply secure coding practices and use AI-enabled scanning or analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities. We help identify software, server, or network bottlenecks by collecting diagnostics, evaluating potential fixes, and using AI tools to explore optimization paths. The base salary range is $89,400 to $134,000 per year, with potential eligibility for additional incentive compensation.
