Partner with the best As a Software Engineer, responsibilities include creating secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions within modern architecture. Work involves developing and integrating platform components used by customers and engineering teams. Contributions directly impact the security of Akamai Control Center and Cloud Manager, two critical systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance system functionality and security across platforms. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for: Developing and maintaining full-stack web applications using Python and JavaScript, with potential usage of Java and TypeScript. Engaging in every phase of the project lifecycle, from design and development to deployment, QA support, and post-release resolution. Translating UI designs into pixel-perfect front-end implementations. Managing and interacting with relational and non-relational databases. Implementing security best practices and maintaining familiarity with core internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL). Leveraging Docker, version control systems, and shell scripting to support development, automation, and system reliability. Solving complex technical problems through design and development, while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary engineering team. Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Hold a first-level qualification in Computer Science from an accredited academic institution. Demonstrate expertise developing and maintaining comprehensive web applications with extensive full-stack development experience. Demonstrate practical backend development expertise using Python, with Flask and FastAPI, knowledge of RESTful API principles, databases, and Docker. Develop modern web applications with JavaScript or TypeScript, converting UI designs (e.g., Figma) into responsive, pixel-perfect front-end components. Apply expertise in internet technologies and security principles, covering TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL, browser security concepts, and OWASP Top 10 practices. Leverage version control systems, shell scripting, and collaborative practices while showcasing enthusiasm for learning technologies and contributing within teams.
