Software Engineer, AI Platform
Nimbus Data Systems · Remote · Posted 22d ago
About the role
Design and build services for Nimbus Data Systems's Agentic Data Plane, connecting AI agents with enterprise data.
Nimbus Data Systems is the first runtime and control plane for agent-data interaction — a unified platform that combines streaming, SQL analytics, and intelligent connectivity with the governance layer enterprise AI agents need in production. Built on infrastructure already trusted by Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing startups, Nimbus Data Systems enforces governance entirely outside the agent's data path, controlling what agents see, limiting what they do, and capturing a tamper-proof record of everything they touch, so organizations never have to choose between innovation and control. About the Role: We're hiring Software Engineers to design and build the services that power Nimbus Data Systems's Agentic Data Plane (ADP), AI infrastructure connecting AI agents with enterprise data in real time. You'll join our Warsaw-based ADP team, collaborating with cloud and ADP peers across Europe and US. You'll design and ship components of our ADP product, which builds on Nimbus Data Systems's Bring Your Own Cloud, Serverless, and Nimbus Data Systems Connect offerings. You'll help operate the services you build, contributing to our 99.99% SLA, and collaborate with peers across Cloud, Core, and Platform engineering to deliver robust, scalable agentic AI systems. This is a hybrid role based in our Warsaw office (minimum 3 days/week on-site). You Will: Design, build and operate features across our ADP and cloud services on AWS, GCP, and Azure, including control plane and data plane components Turn product requirements into clear technical designs Take ownership of your tasks and delivery end to end, and contribute to architectural discussions Spot technical risks early and work with your team to mitigate them, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery Hold a high bar for reliability, scalability, performance, and security in the code and services you ship Participate in the on-call escalation chain, helping reduce escalations and improve operational health Build resilience and observability into the systems you work on, so we can run enterprise-grade agentic services in the cloud You Have: 3+ years of experience building and operating production services in public cloud environments A track record of owning features end-to-end, from design to production operations Proficiency in Go (or comparable systems language with willingness to ramp) Experience with AI-assisted software development workflows (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) Working knowledge of at least one of AWS / Azure / GCP, including IaC for system and network infrastructure Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable working in a globally distributed, async-first team over GitHub, Slack, and docs Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and customer-facing stakeholders Nice to Have: Experience with Kubernetes Experience building or operating SaaS platforms Experience with streaming platforms as a user or provider Join Nimbus Data Systems if you’d enjoy being part of a fast-moving, diverse, people-first organization with team members around the globe and a culture based on trust, transparency, communication, and kindness. You'll dive into a nimble, high-impact team with the latest AI tools — and the budget to actually use them. #LI-Remote Apply for this position
