Software Automation Designer

Salary: $62000 - 96000 per year Requirements: I am looking for a Software / Automation Engineer who comprehends customer requirements and standards, along with local and/or national electrical codes. You should have the capability to design hardware schematics and software programs while applying engineering principles and computer science techniques. It is essential to troubleshoot connection issues and debug equipment effectively during the build process. Responsibilities: Conduct research and develop new hardware and software interfaces, customizing them as needed. Demonstrate the ability to create software structures and write logic from scratch. Design Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens and interfaces independently. Use existing customer and internal standards, along with references from past projects, to tailor all necessary application-specific software, including PLC ladder logic and HMI files. Collaborate with the Controls Project Engineer, Controls Technical Leaders, and team members to ensure project consistency. Review hardware schematics and software programs for accuracy and correctness. Execute commissioning and debugging tasks for systems ranging from intermediate to complex machine applications. Occasionally construct electrical and fluid schematic packages, which include laying out inputs/outputs (I/O), designing magnetic circuits, fusing, and organizing control panel layouts, bills of materials, and cable layouts. Perform additional duties as required.
