How you’ll make an impact: As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with advanced expertise in networking and security, you'll join our Cloud team developing and operating the Northwind Robotics managed offering. Your role involves working on a wide variety of tasks, from architecting and maintaining robust network security measures (PrivateLink, Ipsec, etc.) to ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, monitoring, and deploying our cloud offering. You are responsible for building and operating a reliable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure to support the Northwind Robotics SaaS offering. This role is an opportunity to be part of a project that is central to our company’s vision and has a strong and direct impact on the final outcome. You will work with the most promising cloud technologies and receive valuable mentorship from experts from our core team. The position is at the NYC Office. Some expected outcomes for this role: Design, deploy, and maintain robust network and security measures (private connectivity options, VPN IPSEC, firewall configurations, etc.) in cloud infrastructures to support a Northwind Robotics SaaS offering. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues in cloud and on-premises environments. Collaborate with security teams to execute a comprehensive security roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that mitigate risks and enhance our overall security posture. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA) by implementing and maintaining appropriate security controls and practices. Continuously improve the infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and configuration to deliver more reliable, resilient, scalable, and secure services. Automate routine tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency and scalability, leveraging infrastructure as code tools and scripting languages. What you need to be successful: Experience in enterprise networking (VPN IPSEC / Palo Alto / Cisco / PrivateLink…), and network security with a focus on both on-premises and cloud environments. Proven track record of designing and implementing secure and compliant network architectures, with an understanding of industry standards and regulations. Experience leveraging cloud resources from at least one public cloud provider (AWS / Azure / GCP), including proficiency in networking services such as AWS VPC, VPN Gateway. Hands-on experience with networking tools (tcpdump, wireshark, netstat, dig, etc.) and Infrastructure as code tools (Terraform/Ansible, Helm). Solution-oriented and automation-first mindset. Eligible roles may also be entitled to receive commission or other variable compensation through Northwind Robotics's incentive compensation program.
