This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Short-Form Video Creator (TikTok + Reels) based in South Africa. This contract role offers the opportunity to create engaging short-form content for a global audience while working remotely with an international brand. You will transform creative ideas and product messaging into high-performing TikTok and Instagram Reels content that captures attention and drives action. The role combines creativity, storytelling, editing skills, and an understanding of platform trends to deliver authentic, native-feeling videos. You will manage the full content creation process, from concept development and filming to editing and final delivery. You will collaborate remotely with global teams while building a portfolio of impactful digital content. Accountabilities: The Short-Form Video Creator will be responsible for producing engaging vertical video content that aligns with brand goals and performs well across social media platforms. The role requires creativity, strong execution skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple content deliverables. Create short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels from concept through final delivery, including filming, editing, and optimizing content. Develop platform-native content formats such as trends, POV videos, product demonstrations, testimonials, tutorials, and day-in-the-life style videos. Ensure consistent video quality across lighting, sound, framing, pacing, captions, and overall presentation. Integrate brand messaging, product benefits, key talking points, and calls-to-action naturally into video content. Deliver content batches according to agreed timelines while maintaining quality and creative consistency. Participate in remote check-ins, receive feedback, and quickly implement revisions when needed. Stay updated on short-form video trends, platform changes, and creative formats that increase engagement. Organize content workflows and manage files, revisions, and communication through remote collaboration tools. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a creative and reliable content creator with proven experience producing short-form videos for social platforms. You should be comfortable working independently, collaborating remotely, and adapting content styles for different audiences. Strong portfolio of TikTok and Instagram Reels content, including personal, UGC, influencer, or brand-focused work. Experience filming yourself on camera and/or creating hands-only product-style content. Strong video editing skills for vertical formats (9:16), including captions, transitions, sound selection, and pacing. Ability to create compelling hooks, scripts, and calls-to-action that encourage viewer engagement. Understanding of social media trends and what makes content feel authentic on TikTok and Reels. Experience creating content for international audiences, particularly US audiences, is highly preferred. Basic understanding of direct-response advertising and UGC-style marketing content. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines. Previous remote work experience is required, along with confidence using collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, Monday, or similar platforms.
