We're looking for a Shopify Team Lead to join our Hanoi team. You'll lead a team of developers, own technical delivery on Shopify projects, and play a key role in shaping how we build for our clients. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be both a technical contributor and a team mentor. We're looking for a Shopify Team Lead to join our Hanoi team. You'll own technical delivery across the team's Shopify projects, lead and grow a team of developers, and be the primary technical voice in front of our clients. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll code, architect, and mentor, while being accountable for what the team ships. What You'll Do Own end-to-end technical delivery and quality for the team's Shopify projects — accountable for outcomes, not just personal output Lead and mentor a team of Shopify developers: delegate tasks, review code, and actively grow their skills Own solution architecture decisions for Shopify projects, including third-party integrations — payment gateways, ERPs, logistics platforms, and more Design order workflow and inventory management solutions for eCommerce and multi-channel environments Lead client-facing technical conversations — requirement discussions, solution proposals, and delivery reviews Set and enforce best practices in code quality, testing, and performance optimization across the team Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and client concerns Your Skills and Experience Required 5+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience Proven experience leading a development team, with accountability for delivery outcomes Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL), HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript Experience owning solution architecture decisions, including third-party API and payment gateway integrations Experience extending Shopify's native functionality through Shopify Functions and UI extensions (theme app extensions, app extensions, and checkout UI extensions Solid understanding of eCommerce UX principles and best practices Familiarity with caching technologies and relational/non-relational databases Proficient with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or equivalent) — using AI to boost productivity and code quality is an expected part of how we work Strong written and verbal communication skills in English — comfortable presenting to clients Nice to Have Experience with Magento 2 or other eCommerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, BigCommerce) What to Expect Full ownership of technical decisions on your projects, with direct, ongoing client exposure at the requirements and delivery-review stage — not just internal execution Why You'll Love Working Here Competitive salary package: 35 - 50M Comprehensive healthcare coverage Flexible working hours — 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday 13-month salary bonus 13 days paid leave per year Clear career development path and real opportunities to grow into senior leadership
