About the role
Maintain and upgrade system configurations across a diverse IT environment, managing Windows servers and Azure resources.
This is a remote position. The Senior System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, designing, migrating and upgrading system configurations across our diverse IT environment. This includes managing Windows servers, VMware ESXI, Azure platform, and several other critical components. This role demands a deep understanding of systems administration, virtualization, and cloud technologies to ensure optimal performance and security. Key Responsibilities: Design, install, configure, implement, and maintain Windows servers across multiple sites. Managing Microsoft Exchange on-premises, M365 and MS Intune. Understanding backups, recovery, and system upgrades. Working on windows server 2000 to 2000 roles and features. •Understanding RDS CAL service. Administration of VMware ESXI infrastructure, including setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting. Manage Azure cloud resources and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, security, and scalability. Implement and manage Azure Virtual Desktop and Horizon VDI Components. Working knowledge of Hyperconverged infrastructure “HCI” like Nutanix, VxRail, Azure Stack ...etc. Manage and maintain the Active Directory Domain Controller, including users, groups, OUs, and permissions. Manage and maintain all windows server services like DNS, DHCP, WSUS, FTP, SFTP, WDS. Design, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policies to enforce company security and operational standards. Handle tasks using tools like AD Manager, AD Audit, AD Sync ...etc. Should be able to perform AD and all related services health check. Understand, Implement and manage the Certificate Authority infrastructure. Maintain and administer MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) to bolster system and data security. Must have general understanding about networking core concepts and must be able to actively participate in general issues. Regularly monitor system logs and alerts to maintain system health and security. Maintain availability of PAM (Privileged Access Management) and understanding of its core components. Working on vulnerability remediation for windows sever OS, services, Nutanix, VMware... etc. Requirements Who you are: 5 to 7 Years prior experience in an IT support position. Strong working knowledge of PowerShell scripting or any automation tools and scripts Understanding core concepts of cloud services like O365, MS teams, Azure AD, SharePoint Excellent knowledge of server administration, Patch Management & OS specific debugging tool Good understanding of monitoring systems like PRTG, SCOM, SolarWinds. Provide technical hands-on support at a L3 level for incident and request management including resolution of escalated incidents, problems or changes from L1 support. Responsible for Problem management and root cause analysis for repeated incidents or outages. Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment. Good understanding of ITIL processes and tools like ServiceNow, BMC remedy, SCSM, ManageEngine …etc. Responsible to provide support on-call, out of office hours including emergencies and routine maintenance windows. Provide technical support, guidance, and expertise to junior staff members. Collaborate with other departments and vendors for system integration and upgrades.
