Mainframe Senior Developer - AMS Job Description This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with 10 - 12+ Years of specialized technical experience to support, maintain, and enhance a suite of mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in various skills in mainframe technologies along with Netron Frame Technology, middleware, databases, and DevOps practices, with a strong understanding of enterprise application support and acts as a technical lead, responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting critical mainframe applications while guiding junior team members Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, MQ and VSAM. Candidate should have experience in Netron Frame technology. Experience in enterprise-level ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Service Manager, etc.) and their operational workflows. Worked on waterfall and agile methodology projects; capable of handling - Incidents, Service Requests and Change Requests simultaneously. Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration. Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe applications and database queries. Develop technical documentation (Knowledge Base articles, SOPs) for business and support teams Understand both functional and technical requirements and provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support and maintenance Technical Skills: Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS DC/DB, MQ and VSAM, Netron Frame Technology. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Experience with version control systems and software development tools. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
