Senior Software Engineer, IaC Cloud

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is excited to bring Cobalt Streamworks’s cloud programming model to the world. You will be part of realizing a vision where every developer can harness the power of the cloud. The Cobalt Streamworks Cloud team is enabling Platform engineering productivity. Platform teams provide self-service capabilities with automated infrastructure operations to accelerate application delivery and improve developer experience. Here is just a taste of what the IaC Cloud team is working on: Cobalt Streamworks Deployments and IaC management : to enable continuous delivery of secure infrastructure. Cobalt Streamworks ESC to tackle configuration complexity and secrets sprawl. Cobalt Streamworks IDP to support teams to create golden paths with reusable components and templates. In This Role You Will: Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including product managers and leadership — to shape long-term technical strategy and translate business requirements into customer-centric solutions. Contribute to roadmap planning and partner with the team to drive execution and delivery. Design and architect simple, cost-effective solutions to complex features with a focus on security, scalability, and performance—designed to work seamlessly across both our cloud and self-hosted environments. Write production-quality code across our full stack (Angular/TypeScript, Node.js, and Go for API development). Extend our SDK and providers to enable Cobalt Streamworks Cloud functionality across multiple languages, including TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Python, C#, and Java. Participate in code and design reviews, sharing expertise and mentoring engineers across the team. We’re Looking For Someone: 8+ years of experience as a highly productive software engineer. Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity, and make sound decisions with incomplete information. Expertise in modern cloud-based systems architecture and distributed systems. Strong analytical mindset with a systematic, first-principles approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for good design. A passion for writing to code and is a prolific contributor that also elevates the broader team. Passionate and curious about the evolving AI landscape and a drive to incorporate state-of-the-art LLMs to amplify team and product outcomes. Have experience leveraging modern AI tools and LLMs to build production-grade products and customer-facing experiences, using AI to accelerate development, improve product capabilities, and solve real-world problems with a strong focus on reliability, quality, and user value. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Go, TypeScript, Python, Java, and C# . Experience with deployment orchestration and infrastructure-as-code tooling. Compensation: Base Salary Hiring Range: $180,500 - $227,850 All full-time employee offers at Cobalt Streamworks include base salary, bonus or variable, equity and benefits (details below).
