Senior Software Engineer-Android Mobile Developer with React Native experience

Job Description Senior Software Engineer, Chennai Our NielsenIQ mobile team is working on several consumer-facing applications delivering high-impact data-driven experiences to users around the world. As an React Native / Android Mobile Engineer, you'll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about crafting high-quality mobile applications. Responsibilities Design, develop and implement native Android features in Kotlin across multiple NielsenIQ applications Design, develop and implement React Native applications Evaluate the best approach to solve problems. Understanding user needs and how they fit into the overall product design. Following source & test-driven development best practices. Track ticket progression with JIRA. Support UX/UI and QA requests. Proactive communication with the team. Qualifications Must have 8+ years of experience Good knowledge of Kotlin (and best practices), React Native Experience developing native and cross platform Android applications Proficient with Clean Architecture and MVVM Proficient with version control systems, such as Git Familiarity of application performance Good debugging skills including WebViews Attention of detail (UX and UI) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Demonstrated ability to work as part of a global team Good to have Knowledge of Compose (currently not used much, but in the future) Knowledge of Firebase (Crashlytics / Analytics / RemoteConfig / …) Understanding of CICD, such as Jenkins and Github Actions Familiarity with Scrum development and tools, such as Jira Familiarity with localization and several in-app languages Experience with test frameworks (unit testing (JUnit), e2e tests…) Company Description NielsenIQ is a global measurement and data analytics company that provides the most complete and trusted view available to consumers and markets worldwide.
