Summary:
Working as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Aperture Cloud means being a part of a highly capable, collaborative, and agile development team. Aperture Cloud is creating awesome software that's used by thousands of IT professionals all over the globe. This can be a remote/telecommute position based out of your home office. Reports to the Software Development Team Lead.
This position is based in Tel Aviv and will require being on-site in the office two to three days per business week.
What You’ll Do:
– Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices (primarily in Python) that power complex, high-volume systems used by leading enterprise customers.
– Build and enhance massive data processing pipelines and real-time event analysis components to deliver accurate and reliable insights at scale.
– Collaborate closely with the Product team to design and deliver new features — taking full ownership from idea and architecture to implementation and release.
– Work on performance optimizations across services and data flows to ensure our platform remains fast, efficient, and ready for scale.
– Leverage a diverse data stack, including relational databases (e.g., AzureSQL) and non-relational data stores such as Elasticsearch, to build data-driven features and ensure system reliability.
– Contribute to our AI-driven initiatives, integrating intelligent components into the platform and exploring how AI can improve performance and user experience.
– Take end-to-end responsibility for your work: define requirements, design solutions, write high-quality code, and see features through to production.
– Bring new ideas to the table - challenge assumptions, suggest improvements, and help drive the technical direction of our backend architecture.
– Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor teammates to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
What You’ll Need:
– Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
– 3+ years of backend development experience (Python preferred)
– Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
– Familiarity with microservices and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
– Strong understanding of REST APIs and data workflows
– Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ)
– Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control,
testing, and code documentation.
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
We'd Love to See:
– Bonus: Experience with cybersecurity, graph databases, or ML pipelines
– Ability to quickly read and understand both new and existing code
– Ability to look at the big picture, come up with great new ideas and execute those ideas by writing code to make it happen
– Passionate about writing quality code and constantly honing your development skills
– Experience with Agile software development methodologies
– Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)
– Experience with DevOps practices (e.g. continuous integration, continuous deployment)
