The role focuses on developing and evolving the internal Core Platform services that form the architectural foundation of Solstice Analytics products. These services act as the backbone for higher-level functionality across the entire Solstice Analytics ecosystem. The work emphasizes scalability, reliability, and long-term platform evolution rather than feature-level development. You will have the opportunity to work with modern technologies and development tools, participate in code reviews, and contribute to building reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions that are critical to Solstice Analytics partners and customers worldwide. WHAT YOU'LL DO Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and platform components that are part of the internal Core Platform and used by multiple Solstice Analytics products Take ownership of services throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and long-term maintenance. Make architectural and technical decisions with a focus on scalability, reliability, backward compatibility, and operational stability. Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, product management, and QA to define requirements and deliver platform capabilities Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established best practices and coding standards Perform code reviews, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and security Troubleshoot and debug complex production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective long-term solutions Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and engineering practices Technical Stack Programming Languages: Rust, Go Databases: MariaDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse In-memory & Caching: Redis Messaging: RabbitMQ Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes Infrastructure & Deployment: Cloud-based environments WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of professional software development experience in backend or platform engineering roles. Strong proficiency in Go ; experience with Rust is a plus (openness to learn Rust is a plus) Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems (including service-to-service communication, data consistency, and fault tolerance) Experience building and operating backend services in cloud environments Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and modern development workflows Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international engineering environment Experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or other high-reliability systems is an advantage Experience using modern LLM instruments and AI development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, etc.) to accelerate development workflows while maintaining code quality and security.
