Senior Software Developer

Salary: $70000 - 131000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a developer with 5–10 years of C# development experience. We prefer candidates with experience in banking or financial services. We value knowledge of VaR and financial instruments. Market risk experience would be highly desirable. We seek someone with a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We expect strong proficiency in programming, applications integration, test-driven development, system development lifecycle practices, troubleshooting, and system and technology integration. We also look for capability in quality assurance and testing, cloud computing, microservices, business requirements analysis and mapping, adaptability, learning agility, communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, problem solving, and data-driven decision making. Responsibilities: We translate user needs into technical specifications and help shape technical requirements. We analyze, develop, test, and implement new software solutions and document the full software development lifecycle. We perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting and fault resolution across system and core software components. We ensure code and configurations meet security, logging, error handling, performance, and other non-functional standards. We evaluate emerging technologies for suitability and assess their impact on processes, data, and risk. We follow release management procedures and apply version control practices. We support interpretation and documentation of client requirements. We provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support within our business group, with potential enterprise-wide impact. We exercise sound judgment to diagnose and solve problems within established guidelines. We work independently and handle non-routine situations regularly. We may take on additional responsibilities as needed.
