Senior Product Manager - Esims
Nimbus Data Systems · Czechia · Posted 14d ago
About the role
Nimbus Data Systems .gg is the global leader in esports data science and the fastest-growing tech company in Central Europe (Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Winner, 2024 & 2025). We deliver a comprehensive B2B esports betting ecosystem — including an odds feed, robust risk management, a powerful iFrame solution, and 24/7 live content — empowering industry partners like ESPNbet, Betano, Stake, Betway, OpenBet, and Softswiss. With a team of 250+ people across the Czech Republic, Europe, and Asia, we're building the future of esports betting. About the Role We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead product for our eSimulators (eSims) team — a group of mathematicians who build and maintain the models behind Nimbus Data Systems 's studio-based 24/7 betting content. eSims features real players competing head-to-head in titles like eFootball, eBasketball, eCricket, eTouchdown, and CS2/Dota 2 Duels , generating 250,000+ matchups annually with 800+ markets available at any time. The mathematical challenges are significant: pricing models, market correlation, BetBuilder combinatorics, player-pair balancing, and margin optimization all require deep quantitative reasoning. You don't need to be a mathematician — but you need to earn the respect of one. Mathematical and quantitative thinking is a hard requirement for this role , not a nice-to-have. The ideal candidate has a credible mathematical or quantitative background, a sharp product instinct for B2B products, and the strategic depth to connect model quality to commercial outcomes. What You Will Do Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for the eSims product area, directly tied to company OKRs and revenue goals Partner daily with a team of mathematicians to translate complex model improvements into prioritized, scoped product initiatives with clear success criteria Diagnose model performance issues (margin variance, player-pair imbalances, market correlation gaps) and frame them as product problems with measurable outcomes Make high-stakes prioritization decisions — balancing model quality improvements, new title expansion, operator requests, and team capacity Navigate the deepen vs. expand tension: when to fix existing titles vs. when to launch new ones, and how to align commercial, trading, and math team stakeholders around that call Mentor junior PMs and elevate the broader product team's standards — coaching on prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and quantitative reasoning Actively use AI tools (e.g. Claude, Gemini, Codex) in strategy work, discovery, and collaboration with the math team — we are an AI-first company and expect a senior-level point of view on where AI helps and where it doesn't Who You Are 5+ years of product management experience , with at least 2 years in a senior or lead PM role Credible mathematical or quantitative background — academic, professional, or both; you can reason about probability, correlation, margin variance, and model trade-offs without being intimidated Strong mathematical thinker — you approach problems with quantitative rigor, can interrogate model assumptions, set measurable acceptance criteria for model improvements, and translate statistical concepts into product decisions Proven track record working alongside highly technical or quantitative specialists (data scientists, mathematicians, quants) Strong strategic thinker: you connect business objectives to product initiatives and can articulate a compelling vision for a product area you own Deep experience in B2B product management — you understand that your customer is an operator, and you think carefully about the interplay between operator needs and end-bettor experience Sophisticated AI user: not just productivity shortcuts, but embedded AI usage in strategy, discovery, and technical collaboration — and a clear view on where AI isn't yet reliable Excellent stakeholder management: comfortable presenting to C-level leadership, aligning mathematicians and commercial teams Nice to Have Knowledge of the esports ecosystem, competitive gaming, and/or online betting industry Experience with real-time data products, odds feeds, pricing models, or risk management platforms Background in platform or B2B product management where the product is largely invisible to the end user Experience scaling products in a hyper-growth startup environment Familiarity with SQL, Python, or BI tools for hands-on data exploration Experience building or mentoring product teams from the ground up Originally posted on Himalayas
