📌 ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who loves building application code and scalable distributed systems. You'll help design large-scale data ingestion and processing systems that work alongside our custom AI models, working across our Django backend and NextJS frontend to ship reliable, end-to-end product experiences.
🛠️ WHAT YOU'LL DO
– Design and build large-scale data ingestion and processing systems that power our custom AI models
– Build and ship full stack features across our Python/Django backend and NextJS frontend
– Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery to support reliable, scalable background processing
– Partner with teammates to deploy and operate systems in AWS via Terraform
– Bring engineering best practices into daily work, from code quality to system design
🔍 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
– You have 5+ years of engineering experience
– You're comfortable working with Python (especially Django) and relational databases
– You're comfortable working with React (NextJS / TypeScript)
– You use AI as part of your everyday engineering work
– You've seen and can implement engineering best practices
✨ NICE TO HAVE
– Experience with Celery for executing and scheduling background tasks
– Startup experience
📍 LOCATION
Hybrid. Based in San Francisco. We work from the office 3 days per week.
💰 COMPENSATION
Salary varies by location. All full-time employees receive equity in Cobalt Streamworks. Final offers depend on experience and scope.
