Senior Product Designer
Meridian Softworks · Warszawa · Posted 1d ago
About the role
Who we are Meridian Softworks is a cross-disciplinary digital consultancy combining strategy, design, technology, CGI, and software development. Our international team works across Warsaw, Riyadh, Sydney, and São Paulo, creating digital products and experiences for clients around the world. Our projects include mobile and web applications, digital platforms, interactive tools, and websites. We are not interested in simply making screens look good. We help clients turn complex ideas into useful, intuitive, and distinctive digital products. Depending on the project, product design may connect with software development, branding, motion, 3D, or content production. By bringing these disciplines together, we can build more complete and engaging solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on international projects for clients across Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and the Americas, while collaborating with specialists from different disciplines across our team. Who we’re looking for We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who can take ownership of the complete product design process - from an early idea or unclear client brief to a thoughtful, tested, and development-ready solution. You should be comfortable working independently, asking difficult questions, challenging assumptions, and helping clients define what their product should actually be. We need someone who can think beyond individual screens and consider the complete product: its users, business purpose, functionality, structure, visual direction, and long-term development. You will help bring different parts of a project together, working closely with developers, project managers, UX/UI designers, and specialists in areas such as motion, graphic design, and 3D. You don’t need to master every discipline yourself — that’s what our specialists are here for. What matters is knowing when to involve them and how to communicate clear direction, requirements, references, and feedback. This is an individual contributor role, but we are also looking for someone who can support other UX/UI designers, review their work, share knowledge, and help us continuously raise the quality of design across the company. We believe this role will be a good fit for someone with at least five years of professional product design experience , including experience independently leading complex projects. Your role Leading the complete product design process, from discovery and early concept development to final delivery Helping clients define new applications, digital services, and product ideas Translating business objectives and user needs into clear product concepts and design decisions Planning and facilitating discovery sessions and client workshops Conducting user interviews, usability tests, competitor research, and other relevant research activities Defining product structures, user journeys, information architecture, and key functionalities Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished user interfaces Using AI tools such as Claude as part of the day-to-day design process to support research synthesis, product exploration, UX thinking, content structure, prototyping, and selected UI tasks Designing mobile applications, web applications, digital platforms, and websites Building, developing, and maintaining scalable design systems Presenting concepts and explaining design decisions directly to clients and internal teams Challenging unclear briefs and recommending better solutions when necessary Defining design scope, deliverables, estimates, and timelines together with Project Managers Translating product concepts into clear requirements and direction for the people involved in delivery Working closely with developers throughout implementation to ensure that the final product reflects the intended experience Identifying when a project could benefit from motion, graphic design, 3D, or another specialist capability Preparing clear briefs, references, and feedback for specialists contributing to the product Bringing work created across different disciplines into one consistent product experience Reviewing the work of other designers and providing clear, constructive feedback Improving our internal design processes, standards, and ways of working Managing several client projects and priorities at the same time What we expect At least five years of professional experience in product design or a closely related role A strong portfolio demonstrating complete product design processes, not only final screens Experience independently leading digital product projects from discovery to implementation Expert-level knowledge of Figma Practical experience using AI tools in product design workflows Strong product thinking and the ability to connect user needs with business objectives Experience with user research, interviews, usability testing, and competitor analysis Confidence in defining product concepts, functionality, user journeys, and information architecture Excellent understanding of interaction design, usability, accessibility, and responsive design A high level of visual design skills, including typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, and colour Advanced experience with design systems, components, variables, variants, grids, and Auto Layout The ability to create clear, development-ready designs and documentation Experience collaborating closely with developers, Project Managers, clients, and other designers The ability to communicate a product vision clearly to people working across different disciplines Confidence in preparing briefs, setting expectations, and giving useful feedback to specialists An understanding of how design decisions affect development effort, implementation, and product performance Confidence in presenting work, explaining decisions, and leading client conversations The ability to challenge assumptions and propose solutions beyond the original brief Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders A proactive, organised, and solution-oriented approach Attention to detail without losing sight of the broader product vision Excellent written and spoken English Professional proficiency in Polish What will help you succeed in this role You do not need to come from one specific industry. Our projects change, so we value adaptability and curiosity more than narrow sector experience. The strongest candidates will be able to combine three qualities: Product ownership: You can take responsibility for a project and move it forward without waiting for detailed instructions. Structured creativity: You can invent original digital solutions while keeping them realistic, useful, and understandable. Collaborative leadership: You can align clients and specialists around one product vision, give clear direction, and improve the work of the people around you. Experience in an agency, consultancy, product company, or software studio can all be relevant. What matters most is that you have worked on complex digital products, collaborated with different stakeholders, and can clearly explain the reasoning behind your decisions. What we offer Flexible working hours Access to top-tier tools and the latest hardware Multisport card Office in the city center (and pet-friendly!) Flexible contract options Regular salary reviews Referral bonuses No dress code Team-building activities, including integration trips, holiday brunches, team outings, and sports events An international, informal, and creative working environment How to apply and what happens next Please submit your application through this job listing and include: Your CV A link to your portfolio A brief introduction about yourself Your preferred contract type and salary expectations Your portfolio should ideally include product design case studies showing the problem, your role, key decisions, collaboration with stakeholders, and the outcome. We especially value examples that demonstrate how you balanced user needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and visual quality, as well as how you worked with developers or other specialists to bring the product to life. Detailed case studies are appreciated, but we understand that confidentiality may limit what you can share publicly. The recruitment process consists of an interview with our team and a practical task designed to show us how you approach product challenges. We’re looking forward to seeing how you think, what you have created, and what we could build together.
