With our solution we want to solve industry problems that we have tried to address for the last decade in the manufacturing companies we worked for, but that have so far been out of reach. With new technology and AI, that can finally happen. Complex processes and products, lack of engineering talent and massive labour costs as well as a lack of intelligent automation have remained the industry’s most pressing challenge. With LLMs and agents, we finally have the tools to solve this. The Role As our Senior Product & UI/UX Designer , you will take a strategic and hands-on lead in shaping the user experience and product vision at Ironwood Digital. You’ll translate complex industrial processes and data challenges into elegant, intuitive digital workflows, owning the full design lifecycle from user discovery to systems design and iterative delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with founders, engineers, and domain experts, influencing both what we build and how we build it. You’ll also play a key role in evolving our design language, embedding user-centric thinking into our product culture, and mentoring junior team members as we grow. Key Responsibilities Own Design Strategy : Define and evolve product design direction and standards in alignment with business goals, user needs, and system capabilities Design for Simplicity : Create user experiences that make sense of complex industrial datasets (e.g., part numbers, variants, BOMs, procurement metadata) and bring into simplicity for users Lead End-to-End Design : From early discovery, mapping jobs-to-be-done, through wireframes, prototypes, design systems, and final handoff Conduct User Research & Testing : Engage directly with users to understand their pain points and workflows and test fast Partner Cross-Functionally : Work hand-in-hand with internal teams, ensuring smooth translation of design into delivery Who You Are Take full ownership , from concept to go live and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
